How it works
The device emits flashes of light that target melanin in the hair follicles. These flashes disrupt the hair root growth cycle. This causes the hair follicle to shrink over time and prevent the hair follicle from growing back.
Intensity levels
The device has 5 intensity levels. Based on your skin and hair color, choose the right intensity level for you. The IPL focuses on melanin, which means that the device cannot be used for gray and white hair, as these hair follicles do not contain melanin. This device also cannot be used with very dark skin, which contains a lot of melanin.
Safety
Intimate Health's IPL hair removal device has two built-in safety sensors. This is to prevent the device from being used unproperly or at the wrong intensity level.
The color sensor checks whether the chosen intensity level is suitable for your skin color. And the skin sensor ensures that the device only flashes on contact with the skin, preventing accidental flashes. The device comes with safety glasses as an additional measure to protect your eyes.
